What are you looking for in a potential candidate?
Every position requires a different skill set, but the ideal Walgreens employee is friendly and enthusiastic, committed to making people’s lives healthier, and ready to build a career at one of the industry’s true pioneers and innovators.
Will I get a confirmation that you received my resume/application?
Corporate: Yes, once you have submitted your application, you will get an email notification that we have received your application. Additionally, you can always update your candidate profile in our application system and sign-up for electronic notifications for when new corporate positions have been posted.
Retail: Once you submit your application on-line, you will be directed to visit your local Walgreens to complete the final portion of the application called the Skills Assessment. If you are being considered for a position, we will let you know as soon as possible.
If I don’t get an interview, can I reapply for another position?
Retail: Applications stay active in our system for 60 days. Once your application becomes inactive, you may re-apply for further consideration.
Corporate: Yes.
How long are applications/resumes kept on file?
Retail: Applications stay active in our system for 60 days.
Corporate: Resumes for candidates stay on file in our application system for one calendar year; however, candidates must still apply for the positions they are interested in on-line.
I have submitted an application for an in-store hourly position, and when I try to access my application, it’s notifying me that it’s “incomplete,” but I’ve gone through all of the steps.
The third and final part of the application is called the Skills Assessment. It is a series of situational videos that are housed on our internal server; therefore, applicants must complete this part of their application at their local Walgreens. Because our store managers are in charge of hiring their own staff, this is also a great way for candidates to inquire about current openings at their preferred Walgreens location.
How do I make a request for reasonable accommodation during the job application process?
Walgreens is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to individuals with physical and mental disabilities. If you are a qualified individual with a disability or a disabled veteran, you have the right to request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Walgreens Careers website as a result of your disability. We will make a determination on your request for reasonable accommodation on a case-by-case basis. If you need an accommodation or assistance in using the Walgreens Careers website, please call 1-866-967-5492.
